Paula Porter is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Live Blood Cell Microscopist. She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP). She graduated from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in 2015 and further trained in Microscopy. In her “pre-nutrition” life she had a hectic career in Recruitment Management with a large telecommunications company. Her path to nutrition started with a year long trip around the world with lots of time for soul searching, as well as by having two young daughters. Paula’s decision to pursue Nutrition was inspired by her kids as well as her life-long interest in health and the healing powers of food. She is passionate about supporting people through big and small nutrition and lifestyle changes, aimed at increasing health and well-being. Her goal is to empower people to take an active role in their healing journey. What is Live Blood Cell Microscopy? Using a dark field microscope and a single drop of blood, we can see indications of the overall state of health. This is a fascinating modality, as most people have never had a glimpse of their cells in action. Although blood cell analysis is not a diagnostic tool, it helps us to better understand the underlying terrain supporting health or leaving us susceptible to disease. Used in combination with other lab tests and your complete health history, Blood Cell Microscopy can help us assess the root causes of why you feel the way you feel. Some of the things we can see in your blood picture are:

  • Indications of parasitic activity
  • Inflammation
  • Tissue acidity
  • Fungal indications
  • Digestive disturbances
  • Toxicity
  • And more
